- Warranty
8.1 Coverage
Spin Blade Padel warrants that padel rackets sold are free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship when used for normal recreational play only (not professional, competitive, or commercial use) for a period of six (6) months from the date of purchase.
This warranty applies strictly to manufacturing defects and does not cover performance changes or deterioration resulting from normal use or natural product wear over time.
8.2 What Is Not a Manufacturing Defect
The following are not considered manufacturing defects:
- Loss of power, responsiveness, feel, or “pop” over time
- EVA core compression or fatigue due to regular play
- Changes in sweet spot performance from normal usage
- Performance comparisons with previous or different rackets
- Subjective performance feedback without visible structural defects
Padel rackets are consumable sporting goods with a finite performance lifespan, which varies depending on player level, frequency, intensity, court conditions, and ball quality.
8.3 Warranty Claim Procedure
All warranty claims must be submitted to:
📧 spinblade@spinblade.co.za
Claims submitted to alternative email addresses or platforms may result in delayed processing.
Required documentation:
- Proof of purchase
- Clear photographs (front, back, edges, handle)
- Serial number or visible serial imprint (if applicable)
- Detailed description of the issue
8.4 Warranty Assessment Process
- Spin Blade Padel acts solely as a retailer
- All warranty claims are assessed by the manufacturer or authorised distributor
- The racket may need to be returned for:
- Physical inspection
- Sound testing
- Imaging or video analysis
- Other diagnostic assessments requested by the manufacturer
- The manufacturer’s determination is final
Performance degradation without structural failure is classified as normal wear and tear.
8.5 Cosmetic Imperfections
Padel rackets are high-performance sporting products manufactured using advanced industrial processes. As a result, minor cosmetic variations may occur and fall within accepted manufacturing tolerances.
These may include:
- Minor paint imperfections or blemishes
- Clear-coat wear
- Decal or graphic alignment variations
- Surface scratches or marks
- Cosmetic chips that do not affect structure
Cosmetic issues that do not impact structural integrity, safety, durability, or on-court performance are not considered manufacturing defects and are not covered under warranty.
Warranty claims will only be considered where an issue materially affects playability, safety, or expected lifespan.
8.6 Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover damage caused by:
- Impact with walls, floors, glass, fences, posts, or other rackets
- Use in wet weather or on wet courts
- Exposure to rain, moisture, excessive humidity, or damp conditions
- Exposure to extreme heat, cold, or prolonged sunlight
- Storage in hot vehicles
- Use with inappropriate balls or accessories
- Misuse, negligence, or unintended use
- Rental, coaching, or commercial environments
- Normal wear and tear
8.7 Additional Warranty Conditions
- Proof of purchase is mandatory
- The racket’s serial number or internal manufacturer identifiers must be verifiable
- Spin Blade Padel reserves the right to request return of the product for investigation
- Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser
- Policy terms may be updated without prior notice
- Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
9.1 Lifespan of Padel Rackets
Padel rackets are high-performance sporting goods with a finite performance lifespan. Longevity varies significantly based on frequency of play, intensity, player level, ball quality, court conditions, and care.
As a general industry guideline:
-
Occasional / Recreational Play (1–2 times per week):
± 9–12 months of optimal performance -
Regular / Club Play (2–4 times per week):
± 6–9 months of optimal performance -
Frequent / Intensive Play (4+ times per week):
± 3–6 months of optimal performance, depending on impact intensity and usage conditions
Performance characteristics such as power, responsiveness, feel, and sweet spot behaviour may naturally change or decline over time, even when the racket shows no visible structural damage. These changes are considered normal wear and part of the expected product lifecycle, not manufacturing defects.
9.2 Care & Usage Recommendations
To maximise racket lifespan:
- Avoid playing in wet weather or on wet courts
- Do not use the racket with wet grips or balls
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
- Avoid leaving rackets in vehicles
- Use appropriate padel balls only
- Replace grips regularly to prevent moisture absorption
Failure to follow these guidelines may accelerate material fatigue and affect warranty eligibility.
9.3 Performance-Related Claims
Performance-related feedback (e.g. loss of power, dead feel, reduced sweet spot) without structural failure does not constitute a valid warranty claim and forms part of the normal lifecycle of a padel racket.
9.4 Warranty Claim Timeline
Warranty assessments typically take 5–15 working days from the date the racket is received by the distributor or manufacturer.
